A quiet place to read.
How this version of Ethernia handles information on your device.
No account required
You can read the guides without signing in. This version does not include registration, email subscriptions, payments, comments, advertising pixels or analytics scripts. It does not ask you to submit symptoms, medical records or contact details. There is no application database or account profile associated with reading the site.
Your display preference
If you use the light or dark mode control, the site stores that choice in your browser’s local storage under the key ethernia-theme. The preference stays on that browser until changed or removed through browser site-data settings. It is not transmitted by the site’s application code. If browser storage is blocked, reading and the display control still work for the current page.
Search and URLs
Guide filtering runs in your browser against the guide titles, descriptions and categories already included on the page. The search term and chosen topic are reflected in the page URL so that a filtered view can be revisited or shared. URLs can appear in browser history and, when requested from the host, in hosting logs. Avoid entering private health details in the search box. Clearing filters removes those query parameters from the current URL.
Hosting and external links
The hosting provider may process normal request information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs and browser details, to deliver and secure the website. Those server logs are separate from the application. Links to WHO, NIH, CDC and other sources open external websites whose practices apply when you visit. Fonts, scripts and the hero image used by Ethernia are served locally rather than embedded from third-party services.
Publisher information
This page describes the supplied v1 application, not a guarantee about additional services a host or future publisher may enable. The public version should be reviewed when a domain, operator contact or new data-processing service is added. The site currently provides no mechanism for collecting personal data directly from a reader. Clearing your browser’s site data removes the saved display preference on that device.
